Your Instructor
Jibran is the Executive Director of Resurge Detroit, whose mission it is to transform blighted spaces into powerful community places. His first project, Liberty Harvest, crowdfunded $65,000 in 90 days. Liberty Harvest is a an off-grid (solar powered) greenhouse retrofitted from a recycled shipping container. The greenhouse is used to teach Detroit based youth and veteran's agricultural skills.
His latest project is Think Detroit, an business incubator space designed for Detroit-based businesses to take their ideas from napkin-sketch to market.
Jibran is also the host of the Jibs Podcast. The podcast showcases the entrepreneurs, creatives, and activists that are moving Detroit forward.
